John Marshall High School Alumni Association
Indianapolis

Vision:
The John Marshall High School Alumni Association Indianapolis, in a sincere effort to give back to their high school,
using the strength of character (Community) of its members, would venture to provide and facilitate the means to
pass-on to the students of John Marshall Community High School the best possible learning environment to foster
Excellence, Scholarship, Respect, and Courage for success in high school, higher education, business, and life’s endeavors.

Mission:
The John Marshall Patriot’s Alumni Association will endeavor to provide, within the means of its members,
to support John Marshall Community High School in the areas of financial, mentoring and community support,
to provide a positive environment for learning in high school and prepare students to be successful in college,
and careers in life, uphold, and further instill the values of Excellence, Scholarship, Respect, and Courage.

Establish Alumni Association/Officers
Establish graduation year representatives
Establish charter (?)
Committees (who can do/provide) define capabilities work with in the values Excellence, Scholarship,
Respect, and Courage to develop programs of intrinsic rewards for students:
Financial (fund raising etc.)
Mentoring (academics, leadership, sports, music, ROTC etc)
Community (ownership, sense of belonging, pass-on what we experienced)
Develop a Core Value Coin for students in recognition of achievement within these values

Long Term
Committees: continue to establish programs, refine
Establish a Thomas Haynes Scholarship fund (example)
Establish History Wall: those who have passed on; Armed Forces (active?) and Heroes
Define other area to be explored
